Quick Facts About Step and Repeat Backdrops
What Is a Step and Repeat Banner & Why Is It Essential for Events?
A step and repeat banner (also called a step and repeat backdrop, step repeat banner, or red carpet background) is a specialized display wall printed with an alternating grid pattern of company logos, brand emblems, or event monograms. The term “step and repeat” originates from the photographic practice where guests step in front of the wall, pose for photos, move away, and the next guest repeats the process—ensuring every photograph captures clear sponsor branding behind them.
At THE RPS LLC, we specialize in high-resolution, anti-glare step & repeat media wall printing in Dubai. Standard glossy vinyl reflects heavy camera flashes, creating unwanted white spots in photography. Our matte fabric personalized backdrops absorb studio flash and venue lighting completely, ensuring every sponsor logo appears razor-sharp, crisp, and high-contrast in event photos, news broadcasts, and social media posts.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a step and repeat backdrop?
A step and repeat backdrop is a publicity display wall printed with an alternating repeating pattern of brand logos. Placed behind red carpet arrival zones and press stages, it ensures company logos appear clearly in every photograph taken of attendees.
Why is it called “step and repeat”?
The name comes from media events where guests “step” in front of the wall, pose for photos, and step away so the next guest can “repeat” the process, ensuring continuous brand exposure for event sponsors.
Will camera flashes create glare on the step and repeat banner?
No. We use premium non-glare 230 GSM tension polyester fabric or heavy anti-reflective matte vinyl. Both materials absorb bright studio flash and camera lighting completely, preventing white glare spots in photos.
Do you help create the repeating logo grid pattern layout?
Yes! If you send us your sponsor logos, our design team will create the repeating step & repeat grid pattern layout, format proportions correctly, and provide a digital proof for your approval completely free of charge.
